Artistic Impressions

Across the Florida ocean, there’s a place of inspiration.
Where the waves flow freely without hindering ropes.
No sails are needed to prevent drowning hopes
We’re free in our world of artistic impressions.

The visions float, as lovers walk the weary sands
They hold their hands, yet feel nothing grand.
Then swept in undying emotion
The painter’s brush wipes away inhibitions.

Our minds freely sail with our thoughts
In a hateless mirth that we’ve felt from birth
The seas hold music, the clouds hold our hearts
As we watch the world, and try to interpret.
Nothing compares, as our visions fill
With these impressions untamed
And visions sometimes insane,
Our artistic desires burn from our soul
In a flurry, then revealed to all.

A baby’s cry becomes a symphony
An effortless song of his humanity.
With a mother’s whisper and hand
The wails lighten to a nightly ballad.

Finery can be found, in the simplest avenue.
From the falling leaf, or growing mildew;
To the dark alley, Or your simple smile;
As the winds carry your heart for miles.

Most are blinded
By blinding infatuations
Listless wonders
Drowned in societal blunders.
People forget simple worlds
And the simple words.
From such a thing as beauty
To an emotion of love
Everything dwells in a fog of uncertainty.
