The Proposal

I raised her head with a mere finger
So softly felt, twould be a mere illusion
If it weren’t for recognition in her expression.
In those soft green somber eyes
Calling to the leaves and evergreens
In a spring of New England,
Saying give me forever
And A tear of sincerity would grow
In a heart felt message of integrity.

She would smile so softly
With a surreal vision undeniably
Sweet and kindly sincere
As the trustful spring rains
That feed the tender daffodils.
Her heart’s emotions wept
The feelings same as mine,
A beautiful mutual expression
Lit in a golden spark sublime.
