Garden of Two

Simple paths left us
As wanderers in a garden
Looking for that single rose
That would spark our intertest,
But only weeds are found
As we cricle round and round
This emerald glade
And walls we made.

Vines tug and pull at those walls
As we wander about aimlesly,
Trying to find that old rusty gate,
Or maybe finding that rose we seek;
But neither is found in this garden
And we wonder what hides them so
As we search franticly now
Desperately wishing them to find.

Simple paths, they mislead us
And wandering we are lost
In this garden of greens
We sigh and lay in the weeds,
But as our heads fall as one
Something cuts our faces two
And our eyes meet as one
On this one bloody thorn.

A thorn on a bright red rose
Glistening in the morning sun
With blood of us two
Found so simply so.
But laughing now, us two see
Across the garden, gate to thee
And exit for me, if we so seek
To leave this garden we.

Smiling at one another
There is one thought together
A thought of a wish we both missed
But now found, won't dismiss.
And looking upon each other
Resting there, sitting where
But in an old garden of paths
Surounding one ruby in wreath.

Two sit as one forever true
As others come and go,
Wandering and wondering
As we had once ago,
But now and then, sends
The garden a single rose to grow
To spark love anew
For two, as with me and you.
