One More Moment

In her walk, wings seemed to flow
As an angel lost in a thought of old.
From her eyes dreams would unfold
As in memories and thoughts of gold.
Ribbons of hair flow so softly
An image of a kitten’s tail
On silken linen on a sunlit morn
Appears in my remembered vision.
How often her gaze consoled my remission
Of pent up feelings and frustration,
Relieving all doubts and inhibitions
In a moment of carefree friendship
Without the troubles of prejudged ignorance.
Even her scent and aroma
Simple demeanor and cantor
Lead my heart asunder
In her memory
I could only wish
It were a moment longer.
