Stories Told

The man down the street walks
And sits with and unending smile.
He remarks of the winds and trails
That he encountered along his many miles.

The stories grown from wisdom
And a transgression of time shown
Are his fables and myths
Of odd realism and sincerity.

They touch the soul
Though we doubt his truths told
And disregard his funny smile
Until one day we have grown old.
