Our Flow

A river’s smooth caressing flow
Soothes the river’s tow regressing
Past memories of golden snow
That fall slowly transcending...

Growing no more a flow
Than slowly flowing goes
As the white snow flying
Past the winds never dying.

Such a sight to see
Me and you and thee,
Around this river three
Encircling this ivy tree.

The waves weaving
About ankles and toes
Us three in repose watching
How this river flows.

The waves of emotion and tones
Set small pebbles and stones in motion
Round the whirlwinds of water
That whisk away to each other.

And together alone
Like a cyclone of snow
That falls and grows
Just as this river flows.

Flowing as a memory in repose
To stop and go with the winds
And even friends I suppose
Like a river’s caressing flow.
